‘Write to express, not to impress’ should be the universal rule for content creators out there.
You should be crafting content to communicate and to resonate with your specific audience in mind, but NOT to impress your peers nor show off that you are better than everyone else. It’s unfortunate that some creators go astray as to what is their real purpose. You should go back and look at why you started in the first place. Is it because this is your passion and you have a valuable content to offer that can help your audience? Is it merely because of profit? Or are you just seeking external validation?
